Shanghai Fried Rice

Ingredients:

3 tbsp oil
1 pc egg, beaten
1 tsp garlic, chopped
1 pc onion, chopped finely
1/4 cup shrimps, shelled and chopped finely
1/4 cup ground pork
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup carrots, chopped finely
1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup singkamas, chopped finely
3 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp iodized salt
1/8 tsp pepper, black, ground
1/4 tsp sesame oil
6 cups rice, cooked

Procedure:

1. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan.
2. When hot enough, put beaten egg. Swirl pan to spread beaten egg thinly over the bottom of pan. Wait for eggs to set.
3. When egg is cooked, remove from pan and put in a chopping board. Roll lengthwise. Cut into thin strips. Set aside.
4. In the pan, add garlic, onions, and shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add ground meat. Mix constantly to separate pieces.
6. When meat is cooked, add carrots, singkamas, and bell pepper.
7. Add soy sauce, salt and pepper to the mixture. Mix well.
8. Add rice and mix well.
9. Add egg strips and green peas. Mix well.
10. Arrange in a platter and serve hot.
